Calm under pressure throughout the match, Chandiga controlled the table with confidence, leaving little room for a comeback from his opponent.
Chettie settled for silver and $6,000, while England's Craig Brown and Jack Whelan shared third place after impressive runs to the semifinals.
The women's final produced even more drama, as Mutesi showed resilience and composure to overcome Belgium's Wendy Jans in a thrilling contest. Trailing 3–1 at one stage, the Ugandan star mounted a spirited comeback before sealing a memorable 6–4 victory to claim gold and a $10,000 payday.
Mutesi's performance drew admiration from spectators throughout the tournament, with her determination and precision proving decisive in the closing frames. Jans earned silver and $6,000, while South Africa's Elzette Cohen and Portugal's Sara Poch finished joint third.
Uganda's double triumph further strengthens the country's reputation as a rising powerhouse in African pool. With Chandiga and Mutesi leading the charge, Ugandan cue sports continue to gain recognition on the international stage, signaling a bright future for the game in the region.
