Uganda Crested Cranes coach Sheryl Botes says that the two friendly matches with Morocco are mainly to test different players to see whether they have understood what she has been teaching since assuming the job two weeks ago.

“This friendly against Morocco is to test certain players, I want to see if they have learned anything. It is true I have seen those that impressed in the practices but against Morocco, it is a big stage for them to prove,” Botes noted.

“As I stated earlier, it is not about winning or losing but the learning process is what matters, so these friendlies are very important because now we are going to test ourselves against one of the best on the continent.”

She made these remarks on Monday at the Philip Omondi Stadium Lugogo after naming the final traveling squad of 22 players.

The team departed for Casablanca on Tuesday evening ahead of the two friendlies against Morocco in the cities of Casablanca and Rabat on Friday and Tuesday of next week respectively.
