Heathens continue to lead the Nile Special Rugby Championship regular season after their devastating 67-10 victory over the Impis at Kyadondo.
The league leaders have maintained a four-point gap at the top of the premiership and will look to do the same next weekend. They were very generous with the tries scoring 10 on the day while Impis also scored one of their own.
For the second weekend in a row, Isaac Olet was man-of-the-match as Heathens sent their warning shot ahead of the quarter-final playoffs.
“We were able to test different player combinations which really worked well for us, this is really positive as we head for the Kyadondo derby next weekend,” explained Paul Epilo.
If anything, the Heathens cannot wait for the challenge the Buffaloes will put up next weekend.
Pirates too were devastating against the Kampani Eagles who they defeated 0-35 away from home.
Mongers defeated Warriors at home while Hippos survived a Rhinos siege in Jinja. The match ended 25-23 to the disappointment of the Rhinos who have now slipped to eighth place after leading the table at a certain point.
Walukuba Barbarians have also made inroads to seventh place with the 13-3 victory over the Toyota Buffaloes.
