Defender Arthur Masuaku's impressive 82nd-minute goal sent Sébastien Desabre's DR Congo into the semifinals of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in a 3-1 quarterfinal result against Guinea on Friday. Mohamed Bayo put Guinea in front from the spot 20 minutes into the game, before Chancel Mbemba Mangulu levelled the scoring seven minutes later to even the contest going into the break. Yoane Wissa slotted the Congolese into the lead from the spot in the 65th minute, before Masuaku's freekick goal sealed DR Congo's place in the last four, where they will face either hosts Ivory Coast or Mali who face off on Saturday.

This man wearing shirt #11, midfielder Mohamed Bayo, was the man who produced the Guinean goods.


But DR Congo's defender Chancel Mbemba, who was responsible for the knock that caused the Guinea penalty, made amends not long after with a fierce shot from a corner to even the score.


Yoane Wissa then made it two for DR Congo, tucking his penalty with composure to spark this Congolese goal celebration dance you see below.


The Congolese fans then went wild when their team found the third and winning goal through Arthur Masuaku to complete their comeback.


After six minutes of added time after the regulation time of 90 minutes, Algerian referee Mustapha Ghorbal glanced at his watch and decided enough was enough.


The final whistle got the Congolese party started after progressing to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations semifinals in Ivory Coast.
