NIC returns to action tomorrow when they take on UPDF in the Netball Super League at Hamz Stadium Nakivubo.

The Champions of East Africa hit the top of the table and are now on a mission to keep top spot.

“We have been training hard just to ensure that we finish the first round in strong form. UPDF is not a bad team and we do not underrate any team. Any team that comes, we come prepared to win and maintain our position at the top of the table,” stated NIC coach Rashid Mubiru.

The record champions finally hit the top of the table and have their sights set keeping things that way.

They have to pull out all the stops because UPDF might be onto something amazing. They have played decently but perhaps have not been as cutthroat as expected over the last few weeks.

Makindye Weyonje have two big matches to contend with on the day. The first is against the Busia Greater Lions and the second one is against the second placed UCU Angels.

Police also have two matches against UGISA in the morning and one against the Busia Greater Lions. These too are on the winnable side and will give them a chance to move up the table.
