The 12th edition of the Teso Zone Secondary Schools’ Sports Association will be jointly hosted by Ngora High School and Ngora Girls SS and Ngora Parents in Ngora Town Council.

Eliphaz Opolot Ewalu, the head teacher of Ngora High School in Ngora district has said the school is ready to host 11 districts and a city in this year’s zonal qualifiers scheduled for May 28 to April 1.
The 12th edition of the Teso Zone Secondary Schools’ Sports Association will be jointly hosted by Ngora High School and Ngora Girls SS and Ngora Parents in Ngora Town Council.
According to Opolot, with accommodation facilities, security, health facility, water source, and a playing field in place, he is sure of the smooth running of the championship.
He also hailed the support from the local organising committee headed by the Senior District Inspector of Schools, the local community, and well-wishers.
Opolot thanked the Uganda Secondary Schools’ Sports Association Teso zone executive for giving Ngora district a chance to host the games.
Peter Okwii, the Ngora High School sports commissioner, said at least 20 schools have been cleared to accommodate the teams.
“We are prepared to host any number of athletes that will take part in this year’s edition,” said Grace Olive Musingo Nabuduwa head teacher of Ngora girls SS.
On choosing Ngora, Teso Zone Secondary Schools Sports Association chairperson John Robert Osuu says the championship will be used to identify young boys and girls who will represent the zone during the national championship this year.
