The semi-final play offs of the women's national volleyball league will get underway after Ndejje aborted plans to attend the Africa Club Championships.

KCCA will take on KCB Nkumba, while Sport-S will take on the Ndejje Elites at the Old Kampala Arena.

It is a day that will see KCB Nkumba get back to where they think they belong, in the top four of the women's series A.

KCCA taking on Nkumba will see some of the league's most dynamic coaches facing off. KCCA who are the defending champions will be looking to lay down an early marker against the stubborn KCB Nkumba. The two sides have met twice this season.

"It is different. The playoffs are very different and there may be different personnel on both teams but the main players remain the same. In doing all this it's really about us being able to do our part like serve well, defend well and receive well. Those three things will be key as we seek to overcome the defending champions KCCA," said KCB Nkumba coach Tony Lakony.

The semi-finals are always demanding but once you are in, It is all about mitigating errors and taking your moments as they present themselves.

Nkumba have grown and improved by leaps and bounds and are by far a big threat in the best of three semi-final playoffs.

For Sport-S against the Ndejje Elites it is going to be another very tight encounter because both teams have always fought fair. The last time these two sides met Ndejje came out victorious beating Sport-S 3-2. The evenness of the tie is proof that this match up will be decided by a few inconsistencies.
