The 2026 USSSA Karamoja Zone ball games are scheduled for March 2026, with Moroto High School and Moroto Core Primary Teachers College (PTC) confirmed as the host venues.

The championship, which operates on a rotational basis, is expected to attract talented athletes from the districts of Amudat, Nakapiripirit, Nabilatuk, Moroto, Napak, Kotido, Kabong, Karenga, and Abim.

Scheduled to take place from March 14 to 18, 2026, the event will see boys' teams accommodated at Moroto High School, while the girls will be based at Moroto Core PTC.

“Following our on-ground assessment of the facilities, we confirmed that Moroto High School and Moroto Core PTC will host this year’s ball games,” said Stephen Ngaama, General Secretary of the Karamoja Zone.

Richard Emojong, Headteacher of Moroto High School, celebrated the school’s selection with enthusiasm, pledging full commitment to ensuring a successful event.

“I want to assure Karamoja that we are ready and set to host the zonal championship. Participating schools should expect a successful competition and an even more vibrant atmosphere compared to previous host schools,” Emojong said.

He called on all participating schools to collaborate closely with the school administration to ensure a well-organized event. “We have everything in place. Our prayer is that schools come here and maintain total discipline during the championship, but everything is ready ahead of the competition,” he added.

Nelson Anying, Moroto District Sports Officer, assured stakeholders of total safety throughout the competition.

“I am humbled and feel a great sense of pride now that the dream of Moroto District hosting the USSSA boys' football championship has come true. We have achieved this milestone,” Anying remarked.

According to Anying, the four-day championship will provide a platform for young boys and girls to showcase their talents in football, with both boys' and girls' teams competing.
