Uganda and Tanzania battled to a 1–1 draw in their Group C clash at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Rabat, a match filled with drama, missed chances, and penalties.

The first half ended goalless, with both sides struggling to break down each other’s defences in a cagey derby. The turning point came in the second half when Uganda conceded a penalty, allowing Tanzania to take the lead.

Uganda responded with determination, eventually equalising to restore parity and keep their hopes alive in the group stage. The Cranes had a golden opportunity to snatch victory, but Allan Okello missed from the penalty spot, leaving the East African rivals level at full time.
