The sixth edition of the Medical League promises to be its most vibrant yet, with enhanced organization and the exciting inclusion of athletics alongside the traditional sports of netball, football, and volleyball.
Kayunga Regional Referral Hospital enters as defending champions, determined to retain their title in football, while Uganda Christian University holds the volleyball crown.
Twaha Ssekabira, Chairman of the Medical League, announced the improvements on Friday following a generous sh7.5 million sponsorship and team kits from MEGA LifeSciences.
“Our biggest challenge has been funding, but with this support, we anticipate greater team participation and smoother coordination,” Ssekabira stated. “It’s a major relief for the organizers, and we’re grateful to all teams that have consistently supported this league over the years.”
