Nitin Jeshani scored a match-best 78 runs as the Kutchi Tigers strolled to a seven-wicket victory over the Rounders to move top of the UCA Men’s Premiership log.

Jeshani was rightly awarded player-of-the-match honours following his return, which also included 2/32 in 3.0 overs. Jeshani bagged his runs off 60 balls before getting caught by Steven Wabwose off David Mwesigwa.

Chasing 164 for victory, Kutchi also had Hasin Ashani and Avnish Vekariya contribute 36 and 18 runs resepctively. The Rounders were bowled out for 163 in 33.5 overs, with Rabadiya Ramji picking a match-best 3/25. Vekariya Mahesh and Ghanshyam Ahani took two apiece for the Tigers, who have won three of four games and hold a one-point lead on JACC.

The Rounders were led by Steven Wabwose with a team-best 44 off 61, while Irishad Suleman and Calvin Watuwa added 35 and 33 runs respectively. Ronald Puwata contributed 21 for the Rounders, who lost for the third time in five games.
