“I am happy to have scored the two goals that enabled my side to win this year’s tournament and thrilled that we got the chance to visit Anfield Stadium in the UK,” Kasozi noted.

The tournament returned after three years.

McManaman asked the players to exhibit the highest level of discipline in all aspects of life to have a successful career in sports.

“I compel all of you to exhibit the highest level of discipline in every aspect of life for it’s a major determinant for one's future,” McManaman advised.

As part of the day's activities, McManaman had a meet and greet with the Liverpool fans in Uganda at Fast Sports Fusion in Bigolobi who were all smiles seeing the legend.

He flew into Uganda on Saturday morning and was welcomed at the airport by Standard Chartered Bank Managing Director Sanjay Rughani.

Mark William Mbonye, the president of the Liverpool Fans Club of Uganda extended his vote of thanks to the legend for sparing time off his busy and tight schedule to meet the fans.
