Kabojja to host 2025 Uganda Open Table Tennis Championship

The Uganda Table Tennis Association (UTTA) has entered into a strategic partnership with Kabojja International School, marking the start of a new collaboration that will see the school serve as the host venue for the prestigious Uganda Open Table Tennis Championship 2025.
The partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed at Kabojja’s campus, also seeks to enhance international exposure and cultural exchange by creating opportunities for students to engage with peers from diverse backgrounds.
The signing ceremony was attended by members of the UTTA executive board and the school’s leadership.

“In our new administration, we decided to elevate the Uganda Open Table Tennis Championship 2025 to the highest standards. We needed a partner that reflects excellence, and Kabojja International School is one of the best in Uganda. We are proud to associate with them,” said Muwanga.
Kabojja’s Principal and CEO Sam Turya, joined by Director Ahmed Lwasa, reaffirmed the school’s commitment to sports as a key component of its educational philosophy.
“Sports are not just extracurricular activities; they are essential to character development, discipline, and mental wellness. We believe students must be active, engaged, and exposed to opportunities that build resilience and teamwork,” Turya said.
He added that Kabojja has made major investments in sports infrastructure, including a football pitch and multisport facilities, to promote holistic education and talent development.
“When our foreign students interact with others, they build relationships that go beyond the game, preparing them for a global society,” he added.
The Uganda Open Table Tennis Championship 2025 is scheduled for December 6–7, with Kabojja International School preparing to host the event with full logistical and institutional support.
This collaboration marks a key milestone in Uganda’s sporting calendar and underscores Kabojja’s dedication to nurturing talent, fostering discipline, and promoting holistic education through sports.
