She Corporate WFC completed their outstanding 2023/2024 FUFA Women Elite League campaign with a comfortable 2-0 win over Tooro Queens at MUBS Arena in Nakawa on Sunday to seal promotion back to the FUFA Women Super League.

The Nakawa side came into this match needing only a draw to top Elizabeth Group and regain their FUFA Women Super League status, which they had lost at the closure of the 2022–2023 season when they got relegated.

On the other hand, Tooro Queens, who were second placed, three points behind their hosts, and were in a must-win situation to go level on 37 points and because they had a better head-to-head record on the Corporates, they would top this group to book the promotion ticket.

With the stakes this high, both sides came out ready to die for three points, but in the end, the home side proved too strong throughout the match.

Doreen Nakayiwa and Whisper Alomo scored the two important goals for the Corporates in the 35th minute and the 65th minute, respectively, to finish the season with 40 points from 15 matches played, out of these, they lost once as well, drawing, and that loss was in the first leg against the Tooro Queens.

It is important to recall that She Corporate won the Women's Super League trophy in the 2021/2022 season but would later be relegated the following season.

At full-time on Sunday, there were total celebrations from the Corporate fans and the players, whereas the Tooro Queens were dejected and disappointed after coming short of an amazing campaign.

But all is not lost for the Queens, as there is still an opportunity to play in the playoffs against Byafaayo Queens for the final slot to be promoted to the FUFA Women's Super League.

Olila High School, which topped the Victoria group, also secured promotion back to the top flight ahead of the second-placed Byafaayo Queens.
