Junior golfers win USPA monthly award

The U-18 golfers who qualified for the Toyota Junior World Cup in Japan in September beat the girls' cricket team - Victoria Pearls to the award by 195-190 points.

The national junior golf men's team has won the USPA award for April.

The U-18 golfers who qualified for the Toyota Junior World Cup in Japan in September beat the girls' cricket team - Victoria Pearls to the award by 195-190 points.

The Victoria Pearls won a five-nation challenge at Lugogo to qualify for the Capricorn Eagles Quadrangular Tournament in Namibia that they also won.

In the newly introduced awards, cyclist Aziz Ssempijja of Kyanja Club who participated in the Rift Valley Challenge in Kenya beat rugby player Arnold Tukei by 160-155 points as the junior team golf player Juma Abiti beat woman football player Shakira Nyinagahirwa of Kawempe Muslim by 190-160 points.

 

USPA also awarded Uganda Prisons Services the most supportive award for April when they supported their netball team to win the national title.

At the same time, USPA president, Ali Sayed Moses Lubega said the Nile Special -USPA Gala for 2021 and 2022 will be held binary, a situation that has forced the organizers and sponsors to extend the date from May 27th to another date due to be announced.
