Uganda's JKL Lady Dolphins have secured a place in the finals of the 2025 Genocide Memorial Basketball Tournament after a series of impressive performances in Kigali.

The team, placed in Group A alongside Rwanda Energy Group (REG) and East African University Rwanda (EAUR), showcased their dominance throughout the competition.

JKL opened their campaign with a commanding 96-73 victory over EAUR, led by Hope Akello's 18 points and 18 rebounds, along with Judith Aanyu's 18-point contribution. Though they narrowly lost 80-73 to REG in their second game—despite Ritah Imanishimwe's 28-point explosion—their strong group-stage display earned them a semifinal berth.

Facing Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) in the semifinals, the Dolphins controlled the game from the start, securing a 74-62 win. Akello delivered another standout performance with 20 points and 13 rebounds, while Evelyne Kiyingi (12 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists) and Imanishimwe (14 points) provided crucial support.
