In the aftermath of the inaugural Formidables Masters Swimming Gala, which the hosts (Formidables) won, the team administration is keen on leading the growth of masters swimming in Uganda.

The Formidables, captained by Peter Ssebanakitta, collected a combined 4,085.50 from both genders to win the event ahead of the Ambrosoli Sailfish Masters, Malta Adults, Dolphins Masters, and Makerere University teams that finished second, third, fourth, and fifth, respectively.

Now, team captain Peter Ssebanakitta says they want to build a formidable team that can compete in events like the World Masters Swimming Championship and the CANA Zone 3 championships, among other events.
