In just one minute and 47 seconds of the third round, it was already a job done as Uganda’s Netherland-based boxer Fazil Juma knocked out Bulgaria’s Stefan Sashev in the wee hours of Sunday morning.

Inside a packed Maas Arena, Hall 4 in Rotterdam, Netherlands, Fazil stopped an experienced Sashev in a fascinating style to record his sixth straight win in pro boxing.

It was a remarkable night for the former national boxing team pugilist who was gracing the ring for the first time this year.

The Ugandan featherweight is now confident he is back to his best and has warned his weight rivals to tighten their seat belts.

“I’m back to my best. I can just feel that I’m back. My fans world over are going to witness the Fazil Juma they have been missing. A lot is yet to come from me,” Fazil noted.

“I know it is bad news to my rivals. Many had anticipated this Bulgarian to defeat me. But I have made him look like a novice in the ring. My message to all my rivals is they are going to taste my wrath”

Their fight was a six-round contest but matching into the second round, Sashev had signaled signs of collapse before he eventually surrendered in the third one.

Performance-wise, even if this fight was to go to the wire, Fazil would have won it in terms of scores.

The Ugandan electric boxer was already in the lead, landed the most quality punches, had the most body shots, and edged Sashev in terms of dazzling with his continuous footwork.

Fazil’s knockout of Sashev is the third of the six fights on his name since making his professional debut in 2021.

The 2014 Commonwealth bronze medallist is now ranked first among the featherweights in the Netherlands having also clinched the Dutch featherweight title in November last year.

Besides Sashev he has previously defeated the likes of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s duo of Luka Veljovic and  Sandro Stanic, Hungary’s duo of Patrik Renato Horvath and Laszlo Szoke not forgetting Switzerland’s Valentino Herrera.
