Henry Nsubuga and his partner, Jonathan Lukyamuzi, aim to defeat Sam Kacungira and Vincent Katutsi once again when the pairs meet in the Stanbic Entebbe Match-Play Challenge quarterfinals at Entebbe Club next month.

Following their 4&2 victory over Paul Nsereko and Patrick Mugisha in the round of 16 on Saturday, Nsubuga hopes to secure another win against opponents they previously eliminated.

“It was a challenging round since we played with nearly identical handicaps, but we gave it our best effort and had a good day,” Nsubuga said.

“We played well, especially from the second hole. By the fifth hole, we were three up, which gave us a significant advantage, and we maintained that momentum.”

“Since the pair we defeated overcame the team that beat us in last year’s final, we expect a tough match. However, we believe we can prepare well and improve our performance to reach the semifinals,” Nsubuga stated.
