Chants and cheers from hundreds of excited spectators engulfed Kyabazinga Stadium Bugembe as they enjoyed local wrestlers competing in the 4th edition of the ‘Ekigwo Naisoloza’ competition.
The Ekigwo Naisoloza competition was part of the activities during the 12th Ekitudha Konta Nkonte concert which was organised by Baba Groups’ Moses Balyeku on Sunday at Kyabazinga Stadium in Bugembe, Jinja City, as they celebrated their 15 years anniversary.
According to Big Daddy the chairperson organising committee of the Ekigwo Naisoloza, ten people competed in the wrestling competition.

Big Daddy said they organised mini wrestling competitions in the twelve districts of Busoga which include Kaliro, Kamuli, Buyende, Luuka, Namutumba, Bugweri, Jinja, Mayuge, Iganga, Bugiri, Namayingo and Jinja City and a winner from each district qualified to compete in the grand finale at Kyabazinga Stadium Bugembe.
Before the matches began, competitors were checked and some for those who had fetishes (yirizi) and highly expecting to use them to secure wins, were confiscated from them.
Bid Daddy, disqualified twin brothers from the competition. Tenywa, a defending champion wanted to play in the place of his twin brother Waiswa who was not feeling well but organisers disqualified the two and for Tenywa’s case, a defending champion is not supposed to compete in any other editions.
Mubaraka Mukwana, a farmer in Bugobi village in Namutumba district won the 4th edition of Ekigwo Naisoloza after defeating Abdullah-Shakur Kiswiriri from Bugweri district in the finals.
In the semi-finals, Mukwana defeated Yafesi Balimuti from Budondo in Jinja City as well as Kiswiriri defeated Godfrey Kalisiti from Luuka district.
Mukwana was awarded with a brand-new Kainiu Tuk Tuk tricycle worth sh14 million from Madex Technologies, a Jinja based company that deals in Kainiu motorcycles.

Kiswiriri, in the second position was awarded with a 32-inch smart TV from Kazero and a smart phone from Dalton Phone centre.
Mukwana said he is going to use the Tuk tuk tri-cycle to transport merchandise to his small shop which he runs in Bugobi trading centre.
Other competitors included, Damiano Ibrahim from Mayuge, Musa Kulwana from Kamuli, Fred Kiwala from Namutumba, Salim Bazibu from Iganga, William Wako from Jinja Southern Division, Huzaifah Isabirye from Bugiri and Faisal Katabirwa.
