Approximately seven Ugandan bodybuilders have officially confirmed their participation in the upcoming EZA Mr. and Miss East Africa Natural Bodybuilding Championships scheduled for October 7th in Eldoret, Kenya.
Among these dedicated athletes, Mr. Uganda, Godfrey Lubega, stands out as he undergoes intense training preparations ahead of the event. Located at ISK gym in Ndeeba, Lubega, under the guidance of his coach Kenny Ssekiranda, is unwavering in his determination to return as a champion.
"I want to convey a message to all my supporters and fellow Ugandans that I already feel like a champion, and I am resolutely committed to returning with a medal. As Mr. Uganda, I am sending a clear warning to all Kenyans that I am arriving to demonstrate my mastery in this sport," declared Lubega.
Kenny Ssekiranda, his coach, states that they are diligently working against the clock to ensure that Lubega, who will be competing in the 80-85kg category, achieves the necessary form. Ssekiranda emphasized, "We are fine-tuning the final details. Based on what I've witnessed during our training sessions, I am confident that Lubega possesses the qualities needed to secure victory."
Godfrey Lubega aside, several other Ugandans are also heading to Kenya for the Mr. and Miss East Africa Natural Bodybuilding Championship set to take place this Saturday in Eldoret. Among them are Abdul Nasser Mwanje, Hussein Kato, Shamim Mukyala, Aksam Kiseka, and Safalu Tamale.
