Byekwaso makes another go at the INBA World Bodybuilding Championships

Former International Natural Bodybuilding Association (INBA) Mr. Universe and Mr. AM World Cup (2015) Ivan Byekwaso returns to stage next month to compete for the 2024 INBA/PNBA Pro/Am World Championships crown.

Byekwaso, a five-time Mr. Uganda Bodybuilding Champion is currently based in Germany, where he has been preparing for the championship alongside his trainer, Philip Ricardo Junior, a former five-time Mr. Natural Olympia.

He will return on stage in Voorthuizen, Netherlands, June 13–15, alongside another Ugandan, David Kaaya, who is also based in Germany and has competed in over 70 international competitions. Kaaya already finished second in the World Championship in Spain (2015), Las Vegas in 2018, and the Czech Republic in 2019.

“I'm sure I will be in the best form ever. My new trainer is one of the best trainers who has taught me multiple things about my nutrition plan and body conditioning,” Byekwaso noted.

“I thought I knew bodybuilding until I got a new trainer who changed my nutrition plan and training program. I will be the man to watch at these upcoming World Championships 2024. I call with confidence all Ugandans in the diaspora and especially in the Netherlands, to come and support us in numbers,” Byekwaso stated.

Musclemen will compete in different categories including Men's Bodybuilding, Classic Physique, Athletic Physique, Women’s Figure, Women’s Physique, Women’s Bodybuilding and Physically Challenged among others, in the three-day show.
