Following alot of pressure from the passionate home fans from Busoga region,finally officials of Jinja based Startimes Uganda premier league side Busoga United FC have agreed to return to Kakindu stadium.
On Tuesday afternoon,a section of club representatives headed by club CEO Derrick Lule officially met and entered a memorandum of Understanding (MOU) together with top officials from Jinja South Division over the use of Kakindu stadium and it's premises.
Lule said that his team has entered an official agreement with the officials in charge of Kakindu stadium.
He stated that the two parties were involved in a long afternoon discussion that had them enter an MOU that is valid for 1 and ahalf years football season.
The treaty was signed by the town clerk Jinja Southern division and witnessed by the Mayor Jinja Southern Division Ahmed Arshraf .
"Today,we officially entered an MOU with Jinja South Division over the use of Kakindu stadium and it's premises. The MOU is valid for 1.5 years football season",said Busoga United FC club CEO Derrick Lule.
Busoga United FC has been sharing FUFA technical center in Njeru for all it's home matches in the first round this season together with table leaders BUL FC.
Last season,the club had it's memorable capacity attendances in numbers at Kakindu stadium but after the club failing to agree with the stadium management before the beginning of the season ,the club was forced to use the artificial turf at Njeru technical center for it's first round matches .
But it's the Kakindu terraces that had filled up to motivate the club's performances , henceforth fight relegation in the past .
The club will be using Kakindu stadium and it's premises for the rest of this season and the whole of next season
