After five days of exploring Uganda’s tourist attractions and interacting with Arsenal fans, AFTV founder Robbie Lyle and his crew have promised to return to the country soon following what they described as an unforgettable experience.
The popular Arsenal fan media platform spent the past week in Uganda, where they hosted two watch parties for Arsenal’s matches against Newcastle United in the Premier League and Atletico Madrid in the semifinal first leg of the UEFA Champions League.

Speaking on Wednesday night at Kampala Serena Hotel during the watch party for Arsenal’s 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid, Lyle said he had been impressed by Uganda and its people.
“We were supposed to be in Madrid, Spain, tonight to watch this game live, but we decided to stay in Uganda and have this watch party with Arsenal fans,” said Lyle.

“I have been blown away by the people in Uganda. They are so friendly, the country is beautiful, and we will definitely be back soon to meet even more Arsenal fans who couldn’t make it here.”
Lyle was joined by fellow AFTV personalities Cecil Jee Thomas and Lee Judges as they gave local fans an opportunity to interact with them, record post-match reaction interviews, and discuss Arsenal’s chances of winning both the Premier League and Champions League.

The trio also shared fan reactions and event highlights across AFTV’s social media channels, exposing Ugandan Arsenal supporters to millions of football fans around the world.
For many fans in attendance, the event was a rare opportunity to meet personalities they have long followed online.

Milvert Tendo, one of the Arsenal fans present, admitted disappointment with the result against Atletico Madrid but praised the overall experience.
“For me, it was not the result we wanted because Arsenal needed to win. We lacked clinical finishing, and Martin Zubimendi is yet to fully settle into the team. This is where I miss Thomas Partey,” Tendo said.

“Atletico are always a difficult side, so anything can happen at the Emirates in the second leg. Despite the result, it has been an amazing experience watching the game with AFTV and fellow Arsenal fans.”
Another fan, Isaac Muheirwe, was more positive about the result, insisting the draw gives Arsenal a good chance ahead of the return leg in North London.
“It was a fair result. The most important thing is that we did not lose because Atletico are very tough at home,” Muheirwe said.

“I am confident that once we return to the Emirates, Arsenal will get the win and qualify for the final.”
AFTV is one of the world’s most popular independent fan-led football media platforms dedicated entirely to Arsenal, featuring fan opinions, match analysis, and interviews with players, coaches, and supporters.
