Badminton: Ndejje’s flawless start to the season continues

Ndejje University made it three wins in as many games in the Uganda National Badminton League after edging CFK Patriots 3-2 in a highly contested meet at the Lugogo Indoor Arena.
Men’s top seed, Brian Kasirye of Ndejje, got the ball rolling by defeating Musa Abed Bukenya of CFK 2-0, while women’s top seed Gladys Mbabazi of CFK also beat Husina Kobugabe of Ndejje by the same margin.
The Victoria University Wasps are in second place on the log after falling prey to Mbogo High Warriors 3-2.
Victoria’s Augustus Owinyi beat Kenneth Mwambu 2-0 while Tracy Naluwooza of Mbogo floored Victoria’s Catherine Ndagire 2-0.
In the school’s category, Rubaga Girls even without top seed and Africa women's champion, Fadilah Shamika, beat Kinaawa High School Kawempe 5-0 to go top of the table with four points after five games.
Mbogo High Warriors and Mbogo High Junior are in second and third place respectively on the league table.
