Ali Juuko claims double victory at Serena Golf tournament

The handicap ten golfer achieved a remarkable double victory, also topping the Entebbe Club Challengers' first quarter outing with an impressive two-under-par score.

Entebbe Club's Ali Juuko delivered a masterclass performance at the Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort's Mug of Mugs tournament in Kigo on Saturday, carding a winning 69 nett.

The handicap ten golfer achieved a remarkable double victory, also topping the Entebbe Club Challengers' first quarter outing with an impressive two-under-par score.

Juuko edged out Edgar Muzahura (second place) by one stroke and Samson Agamire (third) by two strokes to claim the championship trophy and a cash prize according to group tradition. Andrew Baguma, Moses Ssebugwawo and Richard Oloka shared fifth position with matching +5 scores.

The tournament concluded with a vibrant all-white birthday celebration honoring Ssebugwawo, Geoffrey Byamugisha, Peter Apell and Robert Ajiku's 50th birthdays. Kin Kariisa earned the best guest prize at the event, which featured electrifying performances by chart-topping artists Azawi and Maddox Ssematimba that kept revelers entertained until dawn.

Other notable performances came from Dave Plenderleith (69 nett), who took Group A honors after losing to Juuko on countback, while Timothy Tumusiime claimed Division B's top spot. Hisae Kida emerged as the ladies' champion with 77 nett.

Several guests including Joel Nagaba, Nemanja Kostic, Takuya Sasayama, Paul Habyarimana and Geoffrey Nalima also received recognition for their strong showings on the course.

The event successfully blended competitive golf with celebratory festivities, marking a memorable start to the tournament's first quarter series.
