Early skills development is key to success in all sports disciplines, and indeed on July 26, the Algerian team took time to leave a legacy in Uganda.
The North African side will not only be remembered for eliminating neighbours Kenya in the Semi-final of the Rugby Africa Cup but also for passing on their professional skills to the future rugby stars.

During their training, they took pupils of Earnest Primary School Kisugu through different rugby skills including ball handling, passing, and movement.
It was an exciting, wonderful day for the pupils who were inspired to play rugby so that in the future, they continue interacting with the best.

If it was not rugby where would they have got such an opportunity to interact with such a team?
The age grade manager at the Uganda Rugby Union Dorothy Nekesa was excited saying the Algerian team inspired the young souls to play rugby in the future and that was a big contribution to the growth of Rugby in Uganda.
