It will be an action-packed Saturday, February 7, 2026, as the Women’s Elite Volleyball League resumes at the Sport-S Arena in Nsambya.
Volleyball coach Juma Osunge’s Uganda Christian University (UCU) side will face Seroma in a crucial Serie A women’s volleyball fixture. The two teams meet in the second round of the league at the Nsambya venue.
The Mukono-based UCU team began the second round strongly, defeating Kampala University 3-1 and sweeping aside Kampala Amateur Volleyball Club (KAVC) 3-0 at the same arena. They will be looking to build on that momentum with another victory.
Osunge believes resilience and teamwork will be key in Saturday’s clash against Seroma and Sunday’s encounter against hosts Sport-S.
“Our focus is winning the league title, but we must first qualify for the play-offs by finishing among the top four teams in the regular league. So, we are taking each game as a final,” Osunge told Vision Sport.
“We identified weaknesses in reception, net defence, blocks, and passing during previous games, but we have addressed them. I am confident we shall have a better performance against Sport-S and Seroma.”
Key players such as blocker Joseline Akurut and hitters Elisabeth Owembabazi and Tracy Naio Naio will need to be at their best. Meanwhile, Daphine Kukundakwe, Patricia Alado, Charity Atayo, Praise Kirabo, Bridgt Nambi, and Maureen Nanyonga are expected to step up in the two fixtures.
Elsewhere in the weekend’s action, KAVC will take on UPDF at 11 a.m., KCCA will host Kampala University, while Vision Volleyball Camp will entertain Sport-S in the evening.
