ICT ministry wants tax waiver on smartphones

According to the ICT minister, Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, the intervention aims at making digital devices cheaper to increase internet use in Uganda.

The Ministry of ICT and National Guidance is pushing for a tax waiver on smartphones as a way to boost internet penetration in the public.
