The Deputy Inspector General of Police (IGP), Maj. Gen. Geoffrey Katsigazi Tumusiime, on Friday, toured Kiira Police region  headquarters on Bell Avenue West in Jinja city.
 
Tumusiime also visited the Jinja City Central Police Station located along Mainstreet in Jinja.
 
He was welcomed by the Kiira Region Police Commander (RPC), Richard Okullu, at about 9:30am.

Tumusiime was accompanied by the Director of Operations of Uganda Police Force, AIGP John Nuwagira, and the Director of Counter Terrorism, AIGP Abbas Byakagaba, among others.
 
At Kiira Region Headquarters, Tumusiime visited the RPC’s office, regional CID and traffic offices, and while at the Jinja City Central Police station, he visited the City Police Commander’s office, CID, Traffic and other units. 
 
After visiting the two stations, he was led in a convoy to the Civil Service College of Uganda where he met with top Police officers in a closed-door meeting.
