US rapper Busta Rhymes congratulates Burna Boy upon filling 41,000-capacity stadium

The feat made the Ye hitmaker the first African music star to fill up the 41,000-capacity stadium, adding to the list of big venues he has filled up in the past.

US rapper Busta Rhymes has congratulated Nigerian singer Burna Boy upon filling up New York’s Citi Field Stadium on July 8, 2023.

The feat made the Ye hitmaker the first African music star to fill up the 41,000-capacity stadium, adding to the list of big venues he has filled up in the past.

Busta, who was part of the audience, took to Twitter to congratulate Burna Boy on Sunday, July 17, 2023, captioning a photo of them together: “Congrats to the King @burnaboy on such an incredible journey that has lead up to being the 1st African Artist to sell out the Entire@CitiFieldStadium in NYC!! Let’s keep it Going and Keep it Growing. Stay tuned... NO SIGN OF WEAKNESS!!”

The Grammy Award winner has filled up stadiums in Europe, Asia and the US the last few years – Paris’ 40,00- capacity stadium in May 2023; 21,000-capacity US State Farm Arena in July 2022 and 20,789-capaity Madison Square Garden in New York, on April 2022, among others.
