How America tried to block Museveni-Iran-Gadaffi links

Before Museveni travelled to Libya, the US learned that he was to establish diplomatic relations between Iran and Uganda. Houdek, therefore, underscored the danger posed by Museveni’s relationship with Gadaffi and the Arab states, saying: “By hosting an expanding radical Arab presence, Museveni is inviting problems with a host of countries who have been victims of Libyan subversion and terrorism, notably Egypt, Zaire, Kenya and the Western nations.”
