Why NUP's Nalukoola lost his seat
The judge ruled that the EC failed in its duty under the law to intervene and adjourn polling or vote counting at the 14 polling stations to the next day as provided for under the law.
According to the judge, Nalukoola, on election day, campaigned at Mbogo Primary School playground and Kazo Angola, which is an offence under Section 100(1)(a) and (b) and Section 100(2)(a) and (3) of the Parliamentary Elections Act.

KAMPALA - The High Court has nullified the election of the Kawempe North constituency National Unity Platform legislator Elias Luyimbazi Nalukoola, saying 16,640 voters including the petitioner, Faridah
