The Vice President, Jessica Alupo has commended the Mufti of Uganda, Sheik Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje for his significant contributions to the education and healthcare sectors.
Under his leadership, numerous schools have been constructed, benefiting both Muslims and non-Muslims alike. The Vice President encouraged the Muslim community to uphold their divine practices beyond the holy month of Ramadan to steer clear of negative deeds.
These remarks were made during the National Ramadan Iftar Dinner held at the Gaddafi National Mosque in Old Kampala, organized by the Mufti and the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council.
Attendees including the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African Community Affairs, Rebecca Kadaga were treated to a variety of food and drinks after a day of fasting.
Mubajje thanked the guest for honouring the invitation and urged the Muslim community to actively engage in various government initiatives.
