President Yoweri Museveni returned home on Tuesday from Kenya after attending the inauguration of William Ruto as Kenya's fifth president - taking over from Uhuru Kenyatta - in the capital Nairobi. During the event watched extensively both physically at Moi International Sports Stadium, Kasarani  as well as virtually across the world, Museveni, in a brief speech, urged leaders to strive for prosperity of their people and hailed Ruto for rising to the helm of Kenya's leadership.

Later, Museveni flew back home on the same day he had left for the inauguration. Upon touching down at Entebbe Airbase, he was received by Minister for Presidency Milly Babalanda, Head of Public Service Lucy Nakyobe, Deputy Commander Airforce Maj. Gen. Charles Okidi,  Director Crime Intelligence - Uganda Police Force AIGP Brig. Gen. Christopher Ddamulira and Acting Director of Prisons John Bosco Tumwebaze.
