Acram Kabuubi alias Zedmonk Ssabatontomi on Friday, May 3, kicked off his three-day rap marathon, at Namaste Bar in Kololo, in a bid to break the Guinness world record for longest rap.

To witness history, revellers began thronging the venue by 4:00pm, and before the man of the hour could start off, upcoming rappers like Xydan took to stage to entertain guests who had already made their way in.

The event was graced by DJs, MCs and artistes from the hip hop genre in Uganda.

Clad in a white kanzu and a back cloth jacket with Ugandan flag colours, Zedmonk started rapping at exactly 17:12pm, backed up by originally curated HipHop beats.

Free styling about anything and everything, in Luganda, Zedmonk kicked off what is likely to be a breathtaking attempt on a rather slow pace, as if to save his breath for later.

With intervals of a few minutes, just to refresh and take some water, Zedmonk has so far received immense support from the crowd, cheering him on relentlessly.

The challenge will continue until Sunday, May 5.
