NEBBI - Candidates allied to the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party won 14 out of the 16 positions in the elections of the sub-county, town council division chairperson seats in Wednesday’s hotly contested elections.
The party also swept all the 44 positions for the directly elected councillors, while FDC managed to secure nine at the division level, out of the 22 positions in the municipality.
But, George Adubango Kermundu, the NRM district chairperson for Nebbi, says the victory in the 2021 elections was fought for by the NRM party “We worked as a team and that helped in uniting our supporters,” he said.
