KAMPALA - The NRM has announced what it is calling a new and innovative campaign strategy for President Yoweri Museveni ahead of the 2026 General Election.
Under the new strategy, the party says it will launch various groups across all regions, which will lead the campaign in those regions.

Presenting the programme on Sunday, September 22, 2025, NRM electoral commission chairperson Tanga Odoi said various groups, including Buganda for Museveni, Bukeddi Squad, Karamoja Pressure, Youth for Museveni and others, will be launched starting this week.
He said these groups will move in every part of the country, canvassing support for President Museveni, who is the party's presidential flag-bearer.
Tanga said this is purely President Museveni's ideology, and it's cost-effective.
