A notorious cattle rustler was on Friday put out of action by the Uganda Peoples Defence Forces in Barafayo village, Lakwa Parish, Adilanga sub-county, in Agago district.
 

Captain Favourite Rugumayo, Public Information Officer, Fifth Infantry Division in a statement noted that "while on routine patrol, the 81 Battalion troops of the 507 Brigade under the 5 Infantry Division trailed the rustler and recovered three cows and one sub-machine gun with 17 rounds of bullets".

Rugumayo said the cows were raided from Lacekonya village, Kulaka Parish, Adilanga sub-county, and handed over to their rightful owners, Lamson Opio and Alfred Oyugi, respectively.
