The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party leadership in Soroti district has announced dates for its internal primaries ahead of the 2026 general elections.
The primaries are intended to elect party flag-bearers seeking positions at various levels—from village and sub-county to district offices.
Daniel Eigu, the FDC chairperson for Soroti district, stated that the primaries will be held on June 26 and July 5 2025.
He added that the picking of nomination forms will begin on June 2 and 3 this year for parish councillors and sub-county chairpersons, and on 4th and 5th June for aspirants for Member of Parliament, LC5 chairpersons and municipality mayors.
The party’s national delegates’ conference, scheduled for July this year, will elect the FDC’s presidential flag bearer.
