Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has listed achievements in Kikuube district to justify a renewed mandate for President Yoweri Museveni and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party in the 2026 General Election.

Addressing hundreds of NRM cadres in Kisambo village, she emphasised infrastructure, social services and economic programmes as proof of NRM’s commitment to the region.

Nabbanja highlighted significant road upgrades, including tarmacking projects on Kiziranfumbi-Kabaale, Hohwa-Kyarushesha-Butoole, Ikamiro Buhuka, Buhimba Kakumiro and Kigumba-Kyejonjo roads.

“These improvements ensure easy access to markets and services,” she said, urging voters to reward Museveni with a landslide victory.

She also pointed to broader national projects like the oil refinery, the East African Crude Oil Pipeline and Kabalega International Airport as testaments to NRM’s development agenda.

The Prime Minister said NRM’s focus is on education and health and that every sub-county now has a secondary school, every parish a primary school, and every sub-county a health centre III.

“People no longer struggle to access services,” she said.

Nabbanja also praised livelihood initiatives like the Parish Development Model (PDM), Emyooga, Youth Livelihood Programme and Uganda Women Entrepreneurship Programme (UWEP), which have benefitted 8,960 households through shillings 8.96 billion in funding.

Align with NRM ideals

NRM first national vice-chairperson Alhaji Moses Kigongo stressed the need for party unity to secure a 10% vote target.

“Independent candidates must align with NRM flag bearers to avoid division,” he said.

Kikuube Resident District Commissioner Angalia Godwin cited the district’s rapid progress since its creation, including a shillings two billion headquarters.

“There’s no reason to vote for the Opposition when NRM has delivered peace, roads, and wealth-creation programmes,” he said.

Kikuube district chairperson Peter Banura praised the government’s support for projects boosting service delivery.

Nabbanja, however, reserved her strongest appeal for Museveni: “NRM has over-delivered in Kikuube. A 100% vote is not just a target—it’s a debt of gratitude.”
