President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on Thursday bid farewell to the outgoing Ambassador of Algeria to Uganda, Mohamed Khelifi at State House, Entebbe.
President Museveni wished Khelifi well in his future endeavours and expressed confidence that the strong foundation laid during his tenure will continue to guide and strengthen the bilateral ties between Uganda and Algeria.
Amb. Khelifi, in turn, expressed his gratitude to Uganda for the warm welcome and hospitality he received during his tenure.
Museveni received Amb. Khelifi’s credentials on December 14, 2023, at State House, Entebbe.
Khelifi has been at the forefront of leveraging political ties to enhance trade, investment and business between the two countries, especially on the subject of Algeria importing milk from Uganda.
Addressing Ugandan students who have studied in Algeria over the years under their association of Algeria Alumni Association during a dinner in Kampala in December 2023, he said finalising the Algeria-Uganda milk deal is top on his agenda.
