Kamuli LC5 chairperson Kaloli Dhizaala has pledged to restore public confidence in the corruption-riddled district service commission, while also rejuvenating community service and engagement, locally known as 'Bulungi Bwansi', as a way of enhancing public participation, responsibility and demand-driven accountability.
In the speech he delivered after taking oath on May 15, 2026, Dhizaala said his tenure, dubbed 'Kisanja Return Hope', would be centred on service delivery, with more time spent engaging communities and solving residents’ challenges.
“I came to serve with passion, commitment and voters’ indebtedness and remain committed to our Bulungi Bwansi flagship for collective accountability. Today marks the Holy service matrimony, end to job sales, birth of value for money and accountable leadership,” Dhizaala, the former Kamuli town clerk, said.
He pledged to usher in a credible district service commission to address service delivery gaps, but warned that bribery would not be tolerated.
“Nobody should offer a bribe because both the giver and receiver will be charged,” he warned.
