Iteso Cultural Union set for first cabinet meeting under new Emorimor

The Iteso Cultural Union (ICU) is set to hold its first cabinet meeting ever since Emorimor Paul Sande Emolot was installed as the Teso paramount chief.
The meeting will take place this Saturday in Tororo district.
Emolot was installed as the new Iteso paramount chief in October 2022.
Constantine Okwii, the ICU information minister, told Etop Radio that the meeting will be held a day after the induction of all the cabinet ministers.
The meeting is meant to deliberate on the roles and responsibilities that each leader holds in the cabinet.
Twenty-three (23) ministers, 26 deputy cabinet ministers and other stakeholders from different cultural institutions countrywide are expected to attend the meeting.
"We have an official coming from the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development and another from Enterprise Uganda, who are going to give an education talk," said Okwii.
He said resident district commissioners, and district chairpersons of the invited districts will also attend.
"We shall have the secretary of the Prime Minister's Forum for all the royal institutions in Uganda — Buganda, Busoga, Teso, Samia, Bugisu, Alur, Japadhola. The secretaries for the other associations are also invited."
