The presidential flag-bearer for the Forum for Democractic Change (FDC) party, Nathan Nandala Mafabi, has held his Kagadi rally in front of the Police after being cut off by the Police and the army.
Mafabi, who was heading to Kagadi town from Kyenjojo district on October 7, 2025, found Police patrols staged on the road at Ikuma town to stop him from accessing Kagadi main town through the main highway.
This was at 5:45 pm, 15 minutes shy of the official Electoral Commission time to stop campaigning.

Kagadi District Police Commander Phillip Ameru insisted that Mafabi and his convoy should use a diversion to Kagadi SS playground, which, according to Mafabi, is very deep and remote, to which the FDC camp disagreed.
Initially, the FDC camp had booked to use Kagadi Model Primary school playground, but Police insisted that the venue was being made ready for Minister Balaam's youth Empowerment rally slated for today, October 8.
According to the FDC presidential roadmap, the camp had yesterday planned to hold rallies in Kyenjojo, Kagadi and Kibaale.

"I am going to give shillings 100 million to each village in Kagadi and the rest of the other 72,000 villages. I know you are farmers, we will ensure market for all your harvests, and my government is majorly focusing on commercial agriculture," he told his brave supporters as police looked on.
After his rally, police opened the routes for his convoy and proceeded, but by 18:55pm, the convoy was just leaving Kagadi after a successful rally.

Kagadi district is an NRM strong base and it's evidently seen on the streets that are painted with only yellow posters. It is hard to see an Opposition poster.
This is not the first time that Police have stopped the FDC from using the main route in Iganga, Jinja and Bundibugyo. Police kicked Nandala to village routes, and the team vowed that enough is enough.
Today, October 8, Mafabi is expected to be in the oil city of Hoima.
