Echodu secures NRM flag for Soroti City West unopposed
Echodu also reaffirmed his candidacy for the position of eastern region national vice chairperson in the NRM Central Executive Committee. The seat is currently held by Capt. Mike Mukula, who has served in the role for 16 years.

David Calvin Echodu has been nominated unopposed as the NRM flag bearer for the Soroti City West MP seat following the withdrawal of his rival, Omar Ebaat.
Ebaat stepped aside in the interest of party unity, saying the NRM was focused on reclaiming the seat currently held by independent MP Jonathan Ebwalu.
Speaking to Etop Radio after his nomination, Echodu commended Ebaat’s gesture, calling it a sign of unity within the party.
Echodu also reaffirmed his candidacy for the position of eastern region national vice chairperson in the NRM Central Executive Committee. The seat is currently held by Capt. Mike Mukula, who has served in the role for 16 years.
NRM Soroti city chairperson John Enomu welcomed Ebaat’s decision, saying the move would strengthen the party’s chances of winning Soroti City West.
