The Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) presidential candidate, (Rtd) Maj. Gen. Gregory Mugisha Muntu, officially got his campaign started on Tuesday (September 30).
His day's schedule featured campaigns in Kawempe and Kampala Central.
Muntu, a two-time presidential candidate, addressed reporters before setting off from Bukoto.

He said young people "need to follow more logic than emotion" as they elect their new leaders.
"They have to choose. Life is about choices. You make the right choices, and you get good fruit out of the choices you make. You make the wrong choices, you groan. There are no two ways about that," said the former army commander.
Muntu was also apologetic about the burden the ongoing campaigns are having on Ugandan road traffic, with each one of the eight candidates having their own security detail wherever they go on their respective campaign trails.
"We are adding on the already burden on the people who move by public roads... we apologize for that.
"But this period of four months, we hope that they [public] will be able to bear with us, and they also hope that anybody who takes over is going to cause that to cease," he said.
"We hope those who are on our security detail will be coordinating with traffic [police] so that it doesn't cause us a lot of inconvenience."
Muntu is vying for the Ugandan presidency alongside seven other candidates, including the incumbent, President Yoweri Museveni of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party.
The others are:
▪️ Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu (National Unity Platform - NUP)
▪️ Nathan Nandala Mafabi (Forum for Democratic Change - FDC)
▪️ Mubarak Munyagwa (Common Man's Party (CMP)
▪️ Elton Joseph Mabirizi (Conservative Party - CP)
▪️ Frank Bulira Kabinga (Revolutionary People’s Party - RPP)
▪️ Robert Kasibante (National Peasants Party - NPP)
