KYANKWAZI - While on his campaign trail in Kyankwazi district today, Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) presidential flag-bearer Maj. Gen (rtd) Mugisha Muntu was to step aside for the incumbent and NRM's flagbearer, Yoweri Museveni.
"Let Museveni accomplish his next five years in office as President, before you come in," pleaded Peace Atumwijuka, a National Resistance Movement (NRM) supporter in Kyankwazi district, where Muntu was combing votes today, Saturday, October 18th, 2025.
Atumwijuka's utterances did not go well with Muntu, as the two exchanged, as supporters cheered NRM slogans in Kyankwanzi Town Council during Muntu's rally.
