The Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Uganda Rev. Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu has called on Christians to love each other as one way to keep the memory of former Archbishop Dr Livingstone Mpalanyi Nkoyoyo.
Kaziimba said Nkoyoyo loved everybody including those from opposite religions.
"Nkoyoyo loved all the people equally. It is a reason why he could go to the mosque for prayers," Kaziimba said.
The Archbishop made the remarks on January 5, at the Anglican Shrine in Namugongo while preaching at the inaugural memorial lecture in honour of Nkoyoyo who passed away in 2018.
Kaziimba noted that the late Nkoyoyo was visionary and instrumental, stressing that he led the establishment of Uganda Christian University (UCU), and the redevelopment of the Martyrs shrine among others.

"He always worked hard and loved preaching the word of God. He was an all-around blessed servant," Kaziimba said.
Nkoyoyo served as the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda from 1995 to 2004 and during his tenure, the Church made tremendous achievements in promoting the gospel and establishing a number of development projects for the Church.
