Beauty queen Suraya Umeimah living pilot dream at 26
According to the International Civil Aviation Organisation, the number of women pilots globally rose only modestly from 3.6% to 4.0% of all pilots between 2016 and 2021. The cockpit remains one of the least gender diverse professional spaces, which makes each woman who makes it vital.
